Feb 7, 2012 - If cars are ugly at first and they loose, they are ugly. If cars are ugly and first and they win, they become beautiful.
GTFiorano Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - indy car is worthy of Reubens although INDY will benefit from Reubens more so, at the moment Indycar is a mess, and that car is a disaster- way to go ICONIC committee ...they blew it.
ryowxyz Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - DTM, WRC or LMP
SGSUPERMAN105 Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - Rubens needs to go to DTM. That way he and David Couthard can talk about their days of racing for good teams. David: "Hey Rubens, remember when you were second to Schumi?" Rubens: "Yeah. Hey David, do you remember when you were second to everyone?"

Feb 7, 2012 - 1:22 That's not a rear wing. That's an ad-board.

Feb 7, 2012 - Leo, looks and sounds will matter as long as the fans aren't blind or deaf!
FireS0ul89 Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - I think Rubens should go to DTM. or if he really wants to go to States, NASCAR, not indy.

Feb 7, 2012 - Thank you for the video.

Feb 7, 2012 - My opinion is Rubens should go to lmp it's not just a spec class like irl or NASCAR. Don't get me wrong i respect the racers and crews. Dtm is wonderful to watch but there are only 3 manufactures a lot like Aussie v8s who only have 2. I like a little diversity in my racing, I like seeing different cars with different layouts(fr, mr, rr, awd) battling it out instead of everyone being stagnate. If everyone is doing the same thing then no one is moving forward.
ArthrusGigawitAnteon Says:
Feb 8, 2012 - Barrichello has my respect and can go anywhere (except maybe NASCAR). That being said, I would much rather see him in something top-tier like LMP. Regarding performance vs ugliness, at the end of the day, winning matters. However, if a team can win but do so with style and grace (e.g. the MP4/4 or any of the John Player Special Lotuses), then they go down in the record books (and fan memories).

Feb 8, 2012 - @leoparente, Sometimes you find beauty in somethings visual flaws. Its hard to explain, but maybe its a combination of my respect for technical ability, and uncompromised focus on performance. This -> Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Chaparal 2J, Panoz Esperante GTR-1, BMW V12 LMR. I hope you understand where im coming from...
k2them Says:
Feb 8, 2012 - Racing can be defined by lots of things. At this point ALL forms of racing are headed toward some kind of spec series. Much like NASCAR over the last few years. NASCAR's rules become so tight on what a car could be that you couldn't tell the difference between a Ford, Chevy, Toyota, or Dodge (unless you saw the badge). Spec racing is OK, but leaves little room for innovation.
cikoleko Says:
Feb 8, 2012 - Ok, Leo. F1 cars (maybe) look worse than 2011's BUT don't forget F1 is F1 and by looking at it couple of times you still find lots of beauty in the cars! AND WE NEVER SAW THEM IN MOTION.

Feb 8, 2012 - The new indy car isnt ugly
NZTritium Says:
Feb 9, 2012 - Think Ferrari F40. Form should follow function. that is why the f1 noses are ugly, as they are only there due to safety requirements, ie they don't add to the function of speed, therefore the form is just hideous, for the fastest and most technologically advanced racing series, having a car not designed for function is just plain ugly. Although it will probably save a life, it just makes the cars seem no way near as advanced as they are. bad move fia.
rkidish Says:
Feb 9, 2012 - Barrichelo needs to retire to a La-Z-Boy he hung on a year too long in F1 and unless he is broke he has nothing left to achieve in the world of auto racing...
N7AN Says:
Feb 15, 2012 - WRC's flat spin was completely rectifable with the contracted promoter at the time, investment and understanding of championship was not as important as the agenda that the governing body decided on. As we can see the wheels have really fallen of the rally car! Good people have been affected by an extreme short sightedness and lack of understanding of the intricacy!! On another note its all about World Endurance Heidfeld has joined the grid and so has Buemi, P1 has similar downforce to F1!!
PeterMayer Says:
Feb 23, 2012 - why the hell does this so-called Indy Car have a ram air scoop above the driver when they are turbo's??
musiccridict Says:
Feb 25, 2012 - @PeteMayer well you still need to cool the engine off.

Feb 25, 2012 - THE F1 CAR IS BEAUTIFUL, SHUT THE FUCK UP
noahmrogers Says:
Feb 28, 2012 - There is a saying in the aviation industry: if it looks good it will fly good. The Piaggio p180 avanti is beautiful and also the best for a number of reasons... namely the curved body provides 30% of the lift IIRC. I would love to see f1 allow covers be bolted TO the wheels. The nose thing doesn't bother me much but I'd rather see CFD than pics. However, F1 exceeded human capability 8+ lateral gs in the 80s and since then its been about politics... not racing.
