DJ Winn (Evgeniy Trofimov) is an undoubtedly talented musician and DJ. He has gained a solid fan base over the last two years with many top releases on Russian labels like Re-zone and Cyber Donkey. http://www.beatport.com/release/fancy-light/863200 DJ Winn made his first appearance on Spherax with his remix of Acosta Wink's 'Mute Chords' in January of 2011 and then also appeared on the labels second compilation album entitled 'Spherax's 2nd'. Now for Spherax's second release of 2012 and 45th overall we find DJ winn teaming up with DJ Slava Electrick for 'Fancy Light`which comes with remixes from: Zmey, Roma Pafos, Acosta Wink and Denine. The Fancy Light' original leads the package of with an amazing club energy, liquid sounds and an electric vibe. A wonderful set of hypnotic bells create a dreamy, captivating vibe straight away. A unique set of sequenced stabs drops in for what results in an amazing hook and some serious bounce that should send most dance floors into overdrive. As the composition transitions through the middle section a second set of softer, fluffier lead stabs is dropped which should see another great dance floor reaction. It's rare that you see this many great ideas packed into one record. Great stuff from DJ Winn & Slava Electrick. Russian producer Denis Nazarkiin aka Zmey makes his first appearance on Spherax here and provides the first remix of 'Fancy Light' Denis has delivered a much softer but still very dance floor friendly interpretation. Lovely pads and glistening bells highlight the piece early on before some huge euphoric chords get introduced for a massive rush of energy. A great complement to the package from Zmey. The next remix is supplied by Russian producer Roma Pafos who is also making his first appearance on Spherax. Having primarily appeared on the Mediadrive imprint Roma has delivered a storming remix for his debut on Spherax. A tough, main room club bomb with big bass stabs and a slightly stripped down feel which works well here. Ramos has used the great melodic parts from the original sparingly and with a slightly new twist for what results in another great alternative to Winn's monster original. Acosta Wink (also hailing from Russia) returns to Spherax for his fourth appearance and provides a solid rework of 'Fancy Light'. A tough groove that's accented by some metallic drums sets a serious tone early. Some rough techy electronics make way for an onslaught of big vocal stabs that is undeniably unique and fresh sounding. This one is a monster! Closing out the package is Russian producer Denine who returns to Spherax after his 'Al Boom' LP which dropped in June of 2011. Denine has crafted a beauty for his 'Fancy Light' interpretation, clusters of clattering drums, big lead stabs and a massive big room sensibility make this a rocking mix from Denine to close out an excellent package.
