Mar 17, 2012 - Battle? Final Battle? I don't think so. Too softly. :O
Wiseman108 Says:
Mar 17, 2012 - It is the final battle of the game, and it's a sad song for a reason, I don't want to spoil anything though.
Kindacute13 Says:
Mar 19, 2012 - Hm, Crisis Core. Haven't played this one. It's a unique theme though. Doesn't like like a battle theme....at all, until a little later, but even then.... This was a fun list to go through. You got good tastes, sir. And now... It's like 2:30 where I live, so now I sleep. XD
Wiseman108 Says:
Mar 19, 2012 - It's hard to understand the full impact of this song without playing the game. After you have fought the battle and seen the ending, this song means a lot more than it does otherwise. Glad you enjoyed the list, have a good sleep, and thanks for watching!
Thecarokami Says:
Mar 23, 2012 - ouch! right in the heart
RDNintendo Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - It always affected me so much how they made you literally play the role of Zack until he died. No cutscene showing him taking on that endless army, that was all you. The moment you lost control was the moment his life was ending. It was a really amazing story telling technique.
survivorguy92 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - I love this song and it fits just so perfectly into the game and it's so emotionally charged I can't even explain! Great pick for #1 and great list overall
FF7foreva Says:
Apr 1, 2012 - Youre so right. this song deserves this spot. zack is my favourite character and this song is... its something you would never expect to be a final battle theme but it just fits this fight.
GinoSoldier Says:
Apr 2, 2012 - To those of us who played the game, we knew how it would end from the start. We saw that Happy-Go-Lucky soldier face deception, betrayal, death and torture, and we knew he would fall. In the end he died knowing what had to be done, and we were with him all the way 'till he fell to see how his amazing story would end. We all hoped he would get back up, but... Heroes do die too, and we knew he would, and we were sad when he did. This song is a mirror of that, and it is an awesome battle theme.
5Zaren7 Says:
Apr 7, 2012 - Damn. If my younger brother heard this, he'd go on a frenzy about Zach. From what I've heard, most people say they like Crisis Core more than the actual FF VII. I can't say personally because I've only played Crisis Core out of the two. My brother explained the ending to me and showed me a video... I nearly cried. The brutality. DAMN YOU ENEMIES! (cause I don't want to ruin the final fight.)
LemonSuckers4ever Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - The memories come flooding back with the song, seeing zack go through all the adversity he was faced with and overcoming it all just to help his friends then to pass on his legacy through the memory of the buster sword which in turn was the same with him as it was passed on to him form Angeal. one of the best characters Square have ever come up with
Wiggymaster Says:
Apr 12, 2012 - No.
Wiseman108 Says:
Apr 12, 2012 - Ok.
TheHDElderTheGreat Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - i thought the sepharoth battle was the final battle?
Wiseman108 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - Nope, the game continues beyond that all the way up to Zack's final moments.
ZeketheZealot Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - I burned all my elixers and all my best spells on this fight. I had to have killed a few hundred. Exactly how i imagined the game needed to end. A beautiful and touching finish to a well-crafted game.
Ansemseeker93 Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - The tail end of Crisis Core was heavily packed with emotions seeing everything that zak worked for and everything he fought for. This last stand, I wont like, almost brought tears to my eyes the cinematic especially
Ansemseeker93 Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - I won't lie**
megaknightz Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - What amazes me most about zack, is that after all he went through, he still died with a smile on his face.
megaknightz Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - yes, crisis core had much more of an impact on me. but that is partially affected by advances in technology since ff7, and therefore they were able to tell the story much better. if they were to remake ff7 today, i expect that the emotional impact would be equal. I think the biggest addition in crisis core were the voices. when characters have voices, and express themselves through brilliant animation, i get more attached to them.
5Zaren7 Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - I agree completely. I honestly want them to remake FF7 as well. It would good if it was portable too.
p0kemaster1 Says:
May 1, 2012 - I enjoy the song very much, despite the tears it may bring to others, however, my description of "the best" battle theme music must be, in the very least, addicting. This didn't fit my quota of being addicting, but still, it sure as hell means a lot more than the song that i probably would have put up as first. This is the TRUE best battle music, for a storyline that brings tears, possibly making you cry all out, with meaningful music such as this to top it off, truly does trump all others.
hernobleness Says:
May 19, 2012 - Sound like a background to a love song... Good tho :)

Skeith108 Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - Actually, kudos for an interesting choice. Most final battles are all about over-the-top energizing the player for a "happily ever after" epilogue. But this song really drove home the feeling of sadness and saying "goodbye." It prepared you for the bitter-sweet ending.
