I picked this LEGO Friends catalog up at the LEGO store yesterday. I can't bring myself to buy these. I just cannot get excited about LEGO Friends. They remind me of Polly Pockets. What do you think? Feb 5, 2012 - To be honest, I think these sets looks great. I am a male and yes, these sets look 'girly' but I think these sets will mix together well with the boring blacks and grays in a LEGO City. These sets add some life into a LEGO City, the regular City sets are too boring and repetitive. But who knows, LEGO might just take these off the shelves if they don't sell well enough. Many AFOL are not getting the sets for the set themselves but for the nice selection of parts, accessories and the new colours.

Feb 6, 2012 - Lego Friends sucks hard. I have neices who have the Friends set and it is so bland and unimaginative.I'm glad I'm not a kid anymore. I'd be insulted knowing that they spent months thinking and this is what they came up with.

Feb 8, 2012 - I'm against the Friends line. I really see it as wrong designing a line for girls in the stereotypical colors and likes. What really needs to happen is more GIRL minifigures in regular themes. I've barely seen anything outside of licensed Honestly between the friends line, MBA line, universe being canceled due to lack of funds from the "target group"(no lie, that's the OFFICIAL REASON), and the increasing amount of Chinese parts, i'm currently an EX-AFOL that's mainly around for the minifigures
