Feb 29, 2012 - Race and Gender should be celebrated. Differences should be celebrated. Why do we seek a world where everyone is the same? Human as a whole cannot be celebrated without appreciating our differences because we are in fact different. This is not a bad thing but something to be relished. Also, African Americans don't have many museums, others races have plenty in this country and the Jews have their holocaust museums. Now that Blacks are represented it suddenly is an issue.

You know it was that 200+ year start when they made blacks slaves and the other decades when they prevented blacks from equal education and job opportunity. I think that head start is pretty good compared to the few decades of affirmative action minorities have today.

I suggest you look up the African civilizations and the American Blacks who helped this country be what it is; they intentionally leave out Blacks in American History.
