This Model 420 has been modified for carton erection and hotmelt sealing. Cartons are erected using Scandia's proprietary Cam Carton feeder with the integrated 160 degree pre-break. The cartons are plced on the track paartially erected and the pusher chain carries the carton past a device which finishes erectioning the carton prior to it being trapped between top and bottom rails. The end flaps are folded and sealed with hotmelt prior to being discharge in a top open orientqation. Speeds to 70 cpm are possible.
