I am a character designer and illustrator, for the film, games and television industries. I am currently living in Austin Texas, and I spend most of my time figuring out creative ways to solve other peoples problems, and making fun pictures in the process. My work is in both cg and good ole' fashioned traditional mediums like, graphite, ink, watercolors, and acrylics. I love the process of breaking a story and developing new and exciting characters. Recently I created the blog art-bomb.com to explore creativity and how to get past those beginning stages of art creation. I hate looking at that stark white page and not having anything creative bubble up, so I am sharing some of the exercises I use to blast through my creative blocks. So here is the first of 3 videos taken from the 80pg sketchbook I did for the Arthouse Co-op's 2012 Sketchbook project. Due to some scheduling and binding difficulties I did the bulk of the sketchbook, around 70 pages in about 5 days. I don't recommend this, I think I have more coffee than blood...
